Upon further inspection, it appears the German Blu-ray has
extended versions. All 6 parts are ~44mins long, ~264mins
in total, vs ~231mins on the US DVD (1:06:22 + 1:18:21 +
1:26:02) and SYS HDTV (1:06:25 + 1:19:04 + 1:26:14).

German producers couldn't help themselves from overlaying
German text next to the English one. Guess soft subs are
too hard to make. They did gracefully add English forced
for a couple of lines on Part 1...It begs the question
whether foreign overlays are ALWAYS banned, or should be
allowed when used on top of the English ones. For esthetic
reasons they should probably be banned, but the main reason
for banning is when they provide information not available
otherwise in English.
