PLOT
One of Australia's most popular primetime television programmes,
the award-winning A Country Practice is a drama series about the
residents of the small country town of Wandin Valley, New South
Wales. This warm series focuses on the town's medical clinic,
hospital, veterinary practice and pub.
Enjoy your favourite memories with Dr Terence Elliott (Shane
Porteous), his junior partner Dr Simon Bowen (Grant Dodwell), the
doctors' receptionist Shirley Dean (Lorrae Desmond) and her
daughter Vicky (Penny Cook), a local vet. And who can forget
Molly (Anne Tenney) and her husband Brendan (Shane Withington),
Bob Hatfield (Gordon Piper), Esme Watson (Joyce Jacobs), Matron
Marta Kurtez (Helen Scott) and Sgt Frank Gilroy (Brian Wenzel).
EPISODE SUMMARY
3x11 Who Cares? Part 1
Molly turns her garden hose on Bob when he comes over to
apologise for locking her inside the cage. Frank first encounters
Nathan Webster when he passes by the boy while jogging. Later,
feeling that something isn't right, Frank returns to where he saw
the boy and finds him hanging from a tree by his neck. At the
hospital, Nathan is found to be unharmed, but he refuses to talk
to anyone about what happened. Vicky has trouble getting Frank,
who still has the boy on his mind, involved with an illegal
cattle duffing and slaughter operation being carried out in the
area. During their lunch together at his flat, Sandy Wright calls
Terence pompous, as a compliment mind you, as she compares him to
her father. Simon sits in on Vicky's dinner with Nigel and
manages to drive him off with his incessant talking. Nathan
leaves hospital, and after making his way to a bridge that he
stopped by when he entered town, does what he told Sister Wright
he was going to do and throws himself off.
