PLOT
One of Australia's most popular primetime television programmes,
the award-winning A Country Practice is a drama series about the
residents of the small country town of Wandin Valley, New South
Wales. This warm series focuses on the town's medical clinic,
hospital, veterinary practice and pub.
Enjoy your favourite memories with Dr Terence Elliott (Shane
Porteous), his junior partner Dr Simon Bowen (Grant Dodwell), the
doctors' receptionist Shirley Dean (Lorrae Desmond) and her
daughter Vicky (Penny Cook), a local vet. And who can forget
Molly (Anne Tenney) and her husband Brendan (Shane Withington),
Bob Hatfield (Gordon Piper), Esme Watson (Joyce Jacobs), Matron
Marta Kurtez (Helen Scott) and Sgt Frank Gilroy (Brian Wenzel).
EPISODE SUMMARY
3x65 My Son, My Son Part 1
The magistrate releases Gabe into the Gilroy's custody on a
twelve month good behaviour bond. Vicky invites Simon out to the
farm for dinner but Bob's unexpected return from the club turns
company into a crowd. The Wandin Valley Wanderers defeat the
Burrigan Bandits in the big football match. Festivities are
quickly quelled however by a violent collision between two cars
outside of town. One car is that of Billy Tyler who was driving
two of his fellow Wanderers home, the second is that of expectant
parents Roger and Pru Wallace. As Roger is transferred to the
Burrigan hospital, Pru is taken to Wandin Valley where she
undergoes an emergency cesarean section to save her baby. Of the
three footballers, most critically injured is Marty Simpson, a
promising young athlete with a chance of a professional career.
Marty's injuries require him to be placed on life support and
after additional tests, Terence must break the news to his mother
that he has severe brain damage.
