PLOT
It's a education in comedy!
John Alderton (Upstairs Downstairs) is Bernard Hedges, the
optimistic young teacher assigned to teach the uncontrollable
students in class 5C at Fenn Street Secondary school. Although
his fellow teachers have lost all hope in them, Bernard sees
much potential and combats the full might of these unruly
students in this Award-winning comedy series.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 2, Episode 3: Panalal Passes By
A new student is introduced to class 5C. His name is Panalal,
a well-educated Indian boy. After school the first Parent
-Teacher Association meeting is held but only four people turn
up. Two of these are Panalel's parents. Potter arrives with a
trolley full of tea and buns for the non-existent parents. At
the next meeting the disillusioned teachers neglect to show up
and so Bernard finds himself coping with an unexpectedly large
turn out of parents.
