Mannering is  a man  who knows  the world  & thrives on adventure

antique  dealer. It's  a business  that stirs  greed, vanity  and
passions that propel  him into exciting,  danger-laden adventures

As if that's not enough, The Baron is persuaded to assist British
Intelligence, aided by the glamorous Cordelia (Sue Lloyd) as they

Episode 30: Farewall To Yesterday

The recovery  of one  of eight  stolen gold  medellions from  the
Vatican leads Templeton-Green to ask  The Baron to go to  Rome to
investigate an old flame. When he discovers she's working for one
of the largest  art smuggling rings  in the world,  he offers her
the chance to return to London. Frightened by the fact that Nick,
the  gangs ringleader,  has something  on her,  she declines  but
agrees to help Mannering recover the medallions.
