persecution of the Jews. Gangs of Nazi youths
roamed through Jewish neighbourhoods breaking
windows and burning and looting synagogues.
Many Jews were attacked and 91 died. Ten years
later, and after six million deaths in the
Holocaust, a new Jewish state was born with the
foundation of Israel.
