SUMMARY: Episode 3- A Miracle in Morningside
It s Lent, and in an attempt to outdo his mates, Mack decides to give up food and water. The boys taunt him with pies at lunch time, but Mack stays staunch, even though he is starving.
Soon, he begins to hallucinate and whilst saying his post-confession penance in church, believes the
statue of the Virgin Mary in church is talking to him.
Mack begins to lose weight, and when he learns from The Gospel of Maria that Jesus spent time in Austria, he deduces that he is in fact a direct descendant of the Lord Jesus and Maria Von Trapp from the Sound of Music. Lady Maria appears to Mack regularly, encouraging him to form the Church of the Awesome Show Tunes .
When stigmata are discovered on Mack s hands, his followers grow and crowds flock to see the Chosen One. But when an Emissary from the Vatican turns up, will Mack be busted as a big fat fraud?
Guest stars: Marc Ellis, Michael Jones, Carol Hirschfeld and Petra Bagust as the Virgin Mary.
