Here is the thing: Halycon did the first 8 eps at 1466 MB with
dts audio which resulted in an average bitrate of 3200, much too low
in my opinion. If you use dts audio 40 minute shows
should be 2.2 GB, but since Halycon started at 1.5 we didn't want
to release a different size. However we encoded the dts-hd audio
to ac3 to get the video bitrate over 4000, if i have to choose
between better picture or better audio i will choose picture anytime.
Also since there are no rules for TV-rips from Bluray or HDDVD
Halycons decision to go with the low bitrate is valid, but
if the minimum allowed bitrate for movies is 4000, why should
a much lower one be acceptable for TV shows?
