Summary

of human bodies that brought accusations of consorting with

Against a backdrop of 15th-century Italian opulence,
intrigue, and corruption, he navigated through the
glittering palaces of merchant princes. The bastard son of a
notary in the town of Vinci, Leonardo couldn't even take his
father's name, but sensed that he must develop a way to
overcome the limitations of illegitimacy. And so a code
emerged, a pattern of decision-making that evolved
throughout his life, enabling him to become the greatest of
men in a time of great men--a mind above all others.
