Summary

n tonight's episode, Jamie and Adam test the myth
surrounding a Chinese invasion alarm as well as the 5-second
rule about dropping food on the ground. It's reported that
the Chinese had an early warning detection system for
approaching armies involving stretching a leather membrane
over the mouth of an 80-litre pottery jar, drilling holes
around the town and lowering these drums deep into the
shafts. The reverberations not only indicated how far away
the armies were, but from which direction they were coming.
Grant and Tory go to San Francisco's Chinatown to buy some
pots for testing while Tory builds mechanical boots to
simulate an army. Will this myth be busted or confirmed? The
second myth concerns the myth is that if you drop a piece of
food on the floor and retrieve it within 5 seconds it will
be okay to eat.
