Plus One follows the best efforts of Rob Black as he attempts
to secure a beautiful woman as his date to a wedding in an
attempt to get his own back on his ex-girlfriend who is
marrying Duncan from boyband Blue.

Struggling to restore his self-esteem after his girlfriend
Linsey left him and a freak sewage pipe explosion wrecked
his flat, Rob can't help comparing Duncan's life to his own
miserable existence. Even his family and friends think that
Duncan is better than him. But then, as ludicrous as this
sounds, it looks like Rob strikes gold when his colleague
suggests he has a date with her gorgeous flatmate Nicky.

Episode 3: See It in a Boy's Lies

Through work colleague Laura, who produces graphics for album covers,
Rob sits in on a photo shoot with model and would-be singer Aimee,
lying to her that he is friendly with top recording artists. He takes
her to a bar, hoping she will be his 'plus one' but they meet pop singer
Jamelia whom Rob claims to know. She colludes with his claim but maliciously
adds that he is a champion break-dancer and goads him into performing.
The resultant disaster leads to his humiliation yet again - Aimee will not
be his 'plus one', but it does bring him closer to Laura, about whom he has
had a bizarre fantasy dream involving a bar of chocolate.
