Karim's mother is English and his father is Indian. Therefore Karim has
some problems with life in British society which is becoming more and
more racist and intolerant; he experiences this especially when he wants
to find himself a way of becoming an actor.

Miniseries written by Hanif Kureishi (My Beautiful Laundrette, Sammy and
Rosie Get Laid). Featuring the limited talent of Naveen Andrews (Lost)
in the lead and David Bowie in charge of the "timeless" soundtrack.

Rippers Notes :

As with many old series ARs are changing constantly. Vid was cropped
according to the widest picture/frame as required so no part of the picture
will be lost. This results in black bars on several scenes.

This series is dark and low motion therefore we used 350mb instead of the
700mb usually required for ~50min. Even on the highest res allowed for FS
1st/2nd pass turned out much undersized (321-355mb) and it seemed pointless
to blow them up to 700.
