A Russian Navy mini-submarine is on a secret mission in
August 2005 in the icy waters of the North Pacific when
it becomes entangled in an old fishing net. It's every
submariner's worst nightmare. The seven crew members are
trapped deep underwater and their oxygen is running out fast.
Only three rescue teams in the world can save them but
they're thousands of miles away. Thus begins a desperate
race against time not only for the Russians, but also for
the Japanese, US and British rescue teams.
