P L O T
Documentary following a team of recyclers
determined to reuse all of the six million parts
that make up a Boeing 747. Engines, landing gear,
nose cones and much more can be resold, and some
73 tonnes of high-strength aluminium can be smelted
and remoulded. Witness each step of the process
with Aeroturbine in Arizona as they carefully
drain toxic fluids, carve out the pricey parts
from the landing gear, flight controls, engines
and pumps, and then slice up the airframe of a 747.
