PLOT
John Nettles returns to investigate deadly deeds and gruesome
goings-on in the first four episodes from Season 12 of the
top-rating mystery, based on the novels of Caroline Graham.
Unflappable detectives DCI Tom Barnaby and DS Ben Jones are
drawn into the worlds of golf, spying, cricket and cycling as
mystery, murder and mayhem shatter the peaceful and
picturesque surroundings of the Midsomer villages once again.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 12, Episode 4: The Glitch
Midsomer University science fellow George Jeffers threatens to
make public a problem with his state-of-the-art invention
Kernel Logic, but American software boss Clinton Finn fears he
will lose millions if the truth comes out. When a
schoolteacher is killed in a hit-and-run, Barnaby suspects
Jeffers was the intended target.
RIP NOTES
From Series 7 onwards, the assignment of the episodes to
series is debatable, due to the erratic nature of ITV's
broadcasts in the UK. Here they are now arranged according to
the series in which they are grouped for release on DVD box
sets in the UK (which is the same as at IMDb), as that is what
is likely to be of most use now. The UK broadcast order has to
be determined from the dates given; broadcast order in other
territories may differ again, as may grouping for DVD box
sets.
The episodes continue to be released on DVD. As of January
2010: episodes 1 to 73 are out on Region 2 PAL disks in the
UK; episodes 1 to 55 are out on Region 1 NTSC disks in N
America (56-59 due out in February 2010); and episodes 1 to 66
are out on Region 4 PAL disks in Australia.
Enjoy!
