We've picked AAC over the E-AC3 when able, this source is very weird with E-AC3 tracks sometimes
they aren't present at all at expected bitrates and take months to appear or simply don't.
AAC was only fairly recently added to the source, as well mind you.
Example 3 in the rules cover this, AAC on paper is the superior codec (Except if E-AC3 had more
bitrate, Atmos or channels above 5.1)
Honestly at this bitrate it's near impossible to tell the difference between the two anyway.
Bit of a group preference and case by case basis, good thing only one provider is doing this...
Same deal with video bitrates, we've left these for months if something is lower than expected blame them.
We will internal if they ever appear at better levels.
tl'dr If you encounter AAC and E-AC3 at the same bitrate, channels and no metadata.
We would leave it at the groups discretion.
But here E-AC3 often was often at a lower bitrate to the AAC and AAC is on paper better, but in
reality equal to E-AC3.
PS: Yes a few are E-AC3 not AAC again the source is weird there was no AAC.
