PLOT
No Guns, no car chases, no phone tapping. In the bright
sunlight or fog-shrouded evening of Queen Victoria's England,
Detective Sergeant Cribb pursues his villains by boat, by
hansom cab, on foot.
A policeman with a wry sense of humour, he is the backbone of
the newly formed Criminal Investigation Department. Aided, and
sometimes hindered, by the faithful Constable Thackeray, Cribb
always gets his man - or woman.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 1, Episode 1: Swing Swing Together
Cribb and Thackery are sent to investigate after three female
students out for a midnight swim see a body being dumped in
the River Thames.
