PLOT
No Guns, no car chases, no phone tapping. In the bright
sunlight or fog-shrouded evening of Queen Victoria's England,
Detective Sergeant Cribb pursues his villains by boat, by
hansom cab, on foot.
A policeman with a wry sense of humour, he is the backbone of
the newly formed Criminal Investigation Department. Aided, and
sometimes hindered, by the faithful Constable Thackeray, Cribb
always gets his man - or woman.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 2, Episode 2: The Last Trumpet
Cribb investigates the murder of a woman. The victim was one
of the protestors about the transportation of an elephant from
the United States to Regent's Park Zoo in London. Was there a
connection between this and her killing?
