PLOT

No  Guns,  no car  chases,  no phone  tapping.  In the  bright
sunlight or fog-shrouded evening of Queen Victoria's  England,
Detective  Sergeant Cribb  pursues his  villains by  boat, by
hansom cab, on foot.
A policeman with a wry sense of humour, he is the backbone  of
the newly formed Criminal Investigation Department. Aided, and
sometimes hindered, by the faithful Constable Thackeray, Cribb
always gets his man - or woman.

EPISODE SUMMARY

Season 2, Episode 3: The Coach House Windsor Castle / The Hand
that Rocks the Cradle

Cribb and  Thackery are  called in  to look  into some strange
events concerning the Prince  of Wales's nurse-maid, and  find
themselves tangling with anarchists. Meanwhile, Queen Victoria
has been on the throne for almost sixty years, and most of the
nation  is  preparing to  celebrate  her Golden  Jubilee  in a
frenzy of patriotism.
