Becker centers around Dr. John Becker (Ted Danson), a local New York doctor.
His assistant, Margaret (Hattie Winston) is Becker's balance in his crazy
life. He has also hired Linda (Shawnee Smith) who has the mental capacity of a
five year old. Becker also travels to the local diner run by Reggie (Terry
Farrell) and later by his on and off girlfriend Chris (Nancy Travis). Jake
(Alex Desert), is the blind black man who works the newsstand in the diner,
and also John's best friend. Throughout the history of Becker, Saverio Guerra
and Jorge Garcia have also starred on the show.
