tosca, founded in 1994 by Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber, is one ofthe
most influential and, at the same time, least boisterous proponents ofso-
called electronic music. Following Opera (1997), Suzuki(2000), Dehli 9
(2003)and j.a.c.(2005), tosca's new album no hasselwill be released onKruder &
Dorfmeister's G-Stone label in early 2009 as a CD with an accom-panying DVD
featuring videos by Fritz Fitzke. The world premiere of no hassleat Ars
Electronica 2008 will blend electronic and acoustic sounds andstructures with
Fitzke's world of visual imagery. Integration of the venuespace into the
performance, a basic attitude of non-intentional creativityand music-making, a
naturalistic link-up of musical and visual temporality, and a playful,
anarchistic mode of dealing with conceptuality are traits thatcan be mentioned
in describing no hassel...
