PLOT
Set during the 1960s in the fictional North Yorkshire village
of Aidensfield, this enduringly popular series, interweaves
crime and medical story lines, with a host of colourful
characters that viewers took to their hearts, and a
wonderfully nostalgic soundtrack.
The Second Series - featuring John Simm and Hugo Speer in
early TV roles, alongside cast regulars Namh Cusack, Derek
Fowlds and Bill Maynard.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 2, Episode 3: Manhunt
Masked and armed robbers assault George Ward at the
Aidensfield Arms shortly after closing time locking him,
Greengrass and PC Rowan up in the basement of the pub while
they get away. Apparently Greengrass has noticed something
about the robbers, but he is not particularly eager to talk.
His information leads to Alec Robinson, but he has left his
family for another woman - or at least so his wife Nell and
two daughters say.
