PLOT
The Family Tree
When Miss Wilder assigns her students the task of constructing
their personal family trees, Albert finds himself unsure of his
true identity. The assignment digs up painful memories from his
past, and he feels that things would be so much easier if he
could be adopted by the Ingalls. Just when Charles and Caroline
are prepared to make him an official member of the family, the
boy's biological father shows up. Jeremy Quinn is determined to
reclaim custody of his son, but Albert--who is fully aware that
Jeremy wants nothing more than a sturdy farmhand--has no interest
in leaving the family he has grown to love. With his trademark
wit and unprecedented resourcefulness, Albert concocts a scheme
to see how much his father really cares about him, and sure
enough, once the man takes off, Charles and Caroline proceed with
the final adoption process.
