PLOT

When Mary becomes pregnant for the second time, Caroline's
parents--who long to see their first great-grandchild--thrill
their daughter by planning a special visit to Walnut Grove.
Disaster strikes when Mrs. Holbrook dies en route, and as
Caroline copes with the loss, she struggles to connect with her
grief-stricken father Frederick. Ultimately pulled out of his
depression by the sweet and delightful Albert, Frederick begins
spending time with the family and is motivated to write a book
about his past. Earning the money to publish Frederick's
manuscript proves to be daunting, but the entire family pulls
together to make it a reality. Later, when Mary gives birth to a
beautiful baby boy, she and Adam choose a name that helps
Frederick recognize one of his most passionate dreams of all.
