GROUP-NOTES

Montreal is Canada's second biggest city   and its most colourful.
Its geographical location, historical connection with France and
language also made it the ideal criminal intermediary between
North America and Europe. This programme relates the Mafia and
then biker gangs took advantage of the city's underworld and how
since the 90s forged a business relationship unlike anywhere else
in the world. Traditionally, the Mafia imports the drugs and the
various biker gangs worked the streets. The Hell's Angels, under
the leadership of Maurice  Mom  Boucher decide they want it all.
The following war between the Hell's Angels and all the other biker
gangs leaves the city of Montreal strewn with blown up cars, fire
bombed buildings and the streets littered the remains of dead
bikers. It all changes when the bikers accidentally kill an 11
year old boy, Daniel Desrochers. This galvanizes public opinion
and forces the Government of Quebec into action. The largest police
operation in the history of the country bags 160 bikers and
decapitates the leadership of the Hell's Angels. Today, the Mafia
and the Hell's Angels still control the Montreal underworld, simply
having learnt a valuable public relations tool   keep the family
disputes within the family.
