PLOT

John Thaw (Inspector Morse, The Sweeney) stars as Kavanagh  Q.C.,
one  of the  most respected  criminal law  barristers in  London.
Despite a northern working  class background, James Kavanagh  has
climbed to  the top  of the  elite legal  profession through hard
work and a true love of the law. His brilliance shines through in
each  episode  as he  tackles  the most  challenging  cases where
unexpected  last  minute  twists in  seemingly  lost  causes turn
courtroom battles into dynamic legal dramas.

EPISODE SUMMARY

Season 3, Ep 1: Mute of Malice

Miles and Edgar  Beddoes are brothers  both trying to  make a new
life after military service in Bosnia. Edgar becomes a  chaplain,
while  Miles takes  a job  in business,  where he  is accused  of
stealing money. Then Miles is  shot and killed on a  weekend away
with Edgar, who  says he killed  his brother and  is charged with
murder.  Kavanagh has  problems defending  his client,  as Edgar
can't or won't say a word in his own defence.
