PLOT
John Thaw (Inspector Morse, The Sweeney) stars as Kavanagh Q.C.,
one of the most respected criminal law barristers in London.
Despite a northern working class background, James Kavanagh has

work and a true love of the law. His brilliance shines through in

EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 6, Ep 1: The End of Law
A man staying in a London hotel finds the dead body of a Hungarian
woman in his room. He is charged with killing her and later found
guilty. The man's daughter mounts an appeal, and her solicitor
wants Kavanagh to take the case - but Kavanagh has been invited to
become a judge, so he has to decide what to do about it.
