PLOT
For six years, Australian audiences immersed themselves in the
shadowy and volatile world of undercover police work in the
multi-award winning series, Stingers. With a cast that
featured Peter Phelps, Gary Sweet and Kate Kendall, Stingers
portrayed police work like no other Australian-produced
television: gritty, full of action and based on the real-life
experiences of undercover police. In the eighth and final
season, Angie faces personal tragedy, Harris battles drug
addiction and in a shocking turn of events, the unit is left
wondering if Church still has what it takes to play in the
undercover game.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 8, Episode 7: One More Chance
Angie has convinced a woman called Veronica Taylor to turn
Crown witness against her drug dealing husband. But when the
husband is found shot dead, with Veronica holding the smoking
gun, Angie must face up to the fact that if she had remained
on the job, rather than racing off to look after her son, the
shooting might never have occurred. To make matters worse for
Angie, there is a new detective in Homicide, a keen go-getter
called Katherine who seems to have both Angie and Harris in
her sights. When Katherine's investigations begin to throw
doubt on Veronica's claim of shooting in self-defence, things
begin to look much worse for both Veronica and Angie.
