PLOT
For six years, Australian audiences immersed themselves in the
shadowy and volatile world of undercover police work in the
multi-award winning series, Stingers. With a cast that
featured Peter Phelps, Gary Sweet and Kate Kendall, Stingers
portrayed police work like no other Australian-produced
television: gritty, full of action and based on the real-life
experiences of undercover police. In the eighth and final
season, Angie faces personal tragedy, Harris battles drug
addiction and in a shocking turn of events, the unit is left
wondering if Church still has what it takes to play in the
undercover game.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 8, Episode 13: The Contract
Church and Gray fake the death of a big time crook's wife in
order to nab him on conspiracy charges. But a spanner is
thrown in the works when the crook misunderstands the
situation and assumes that Gray has had sex with his wife
before murdering her. The trouble then doubles when the crook
realizes that Church is also involved and turns his weapon on
Church to avenge his wife. Church is forced to arrest him and
in an attempt to force the crook to admit who he is, they
reveal that his wife is actually sleeping with his brother.
The crook then insists that it is his brother who is the crook
and the Undercovers set up for a sting. But it all goes to
hell when the crook, still angry that someone is sleeping with
his wife, produces a weapon and threatens to kill his brother.
