PLOT
Inspired by true events, Stingers reveals the shadowy and
ambiguous world of undercover cops - people with covert lives and
constantly changing identities. They are police who defeat crime
from within the criminal world - always without a badge and
frequently without protection. The series follows the lives of
the operatives as they befriend and betray those on the other
side of the law. For these select few, it is a deadly way of
life.
The undercover cops of Stingers are a unique breed. They must
juggle their own lives - love, laughter, family and humanity
- with the tension of the criminal personas they adopt in their
passion for justice.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 2, Episode 3: Set For Life
Through an informant, Church is introduced to a gang planning a
major robbery. Angie must leave her live-in boyfriend, Rob, to
temporarily move in with Church, amnd pose as his girlfriend.
Church works undercover as a safecracker to find out the target
of the robbery. They plan to hit a safe at a pharmaceutical plant
and sell of the cache. Rocca orders Church to go through with the
robbery. He wants to nab the gang and their drug contacts. As the
heist takes place Church's informant is out in a life threatening
situation forcing Rocca to abort the sting. The gang is nabbed,
but the unit is prevented from discovering the full extent of
their crime network.
