The concluding quarter-final, held at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev,
Ukraine, as the line-up for the last four is confirmed. Roy
Hodgson's men finished at the top of Group D after opening their
campaign with a hard-fought draw against France, before recording
dramatic wins over Sweden and Ukraine. Should they continue their
fine form by defeating Italy tonight, they will progress to a
semi-final against the winners of Germany and Greece, who contested
the second quarter-final. However, they cannot afford to look past
the Italians, who drew against Spain and Croatia in their opening
two fixtures in Group C, before recording a 2-0 victory over the
Republic of Ireland, courtesy of goals from enigmatic strikers
Antonio Cassano and Mario Balotelli. Commentary by Guy Mowbray.
