PLOT
Grounded in realism, tackling all the big issues such as sex,
drugs, racism, crime and growing up, Heartbreak High pulls no
punches, placing students Nick, Jodie, Con, Danni, Steve,
Rivers and friends in a day-to-day cultural melting pot.
In Series 2 Steve's tireless search for his birth mother pays
off, Rivers shares a passion and takes more than a passing
interest in new teacher Sam, the school basketball team looks
for inspiration and gets it in Vic, two shocking deaths rock
the school community to its core and Rose goes into labour in
the science lab.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Episode 2.01
The start of the new school term is marred by the aftermath of
Nick's death [from a brain haemorrhage which occurred
coincidentally with his appearance in the boxing ring]. Vic
Morris, a teacher brought in to teach a new Media Studies
course, gets everyone to participate in a special video
project. A new student with a familial link to Deloraine
arrives at Hartley. Effie begins attending classes at Hartley.
Matt is uncomfortable about having to interview his classmates
about Nick.
