Robert takes pity on a homeless family and
brings them to stay at his house for the night.
In the morning the family have departed,
leaving their little daughter Polly behind.
Lady Adelaide meets Polly and falls in love
with her and wants to adopt the child. Sir Tim
is extremely wary of this - for them to adopt
Polly would be completely inappropriate. Tim
takes Polly to the Post Office where everyone
struggles to think of a solution to the problem.
