PLOT
Lying, cheating, thieving, double crossing imposters. They're the
best undercover cops in the business.
In Deep is a gripping drama about two maverick undercover
detectives who are sucked into the underworld of corruption,
paedophilia, gang wars, prostitution and racism. Liam Ketman
(Nick Berry) and Garth O'Hanlon (Stephen Tompkinson) spend their
working lives assuming false identities in order to infiltrate
the underbelly of society. Liam puts his life on the line with
hard-core criminals while trying desperately to hold his marriage
together. Garth, a loner, is determined to keep his personal life
a mystery, even if it means compromising an investigation.
EPISODE SUMMARY
Season 2, Episode 8: Abuse of Trust: Part 4
Part two of an investigation into a series of murders of members
of an Internet dating agency. Garth falls back on a part he has
played before - that of a sex offender - in an attempt to get
close to Grendle, but his attempts to lure Grendle into revealing
his secrets backfire spectacularly. Exasperated by Liam's
womanising, his estranged wife, Pam, joins the very same Internet
dating agency unwittingly sets herself up as a potential victim.
The series reaches a terrifying climax as it transpires that the
real killer is much closer than anyone realises.
