When their father runs off with a girl who's not much
older than they are, Sophie (Sarah Foret) and Karen
Kerr (Torrey Devitto) drag their newly single mother
(Daphne Zuniga) from New Mexico to New York City, where
they push her to pursue a dream job in fashion. But for
each of the Kerrs, making a home among Manhattan's
beautiful people -- "BPs" for short -- presents a whole
new world of challenges.

When Lynn Kerr's daughter Sophie wins a scholarship to
an elite school she must pack up her two daughters and
move from New Mexico to New York City. As Sophie starts
school she quickly finds out the school is run by the
"beautiful people" and they aren't too impressed by
her.
