When their father runs off with a girl who's not much
older than they are, Sophie (Sarah Foret) and Karen
Kerr (Torrey Devitto) drag their newly single mother
(Daphne Zuniga) from New Mexico to New York City, where
they push her to pursue a dream job in fashion. But for

confronted about her drug use. Sophie must choose
between Gideon and Nicky's invitation to a school
formal. Finally Lynn's ex-husband comes to New York
and demands that Karen and Sophie move back to New
Mexico.
