EPiSODE SUMMARY

A pod arrives aboard Red Dwarf containing a genetic
mutant which can change itself into any shape
whatsoever. It appears to Lister in it's true form,
bringing him to the height of his fear, and then
sucking his fear right out of him.
While they are searching for it, Cat is chased by his
own heat-seeking bazookoid balls, and eventually
manages evade them and lock them in a room. It gets the
Cat, and takes away his vanity by appearing as a
beautiful woman and flattering him. It then appears as
Rimmer and blames Kryten for the Cat's accident,
thereby taking away Kryten's guilt.
Later, when the three get back it appears as Rimmer's
mother, pretending to have slept with Lister, angering
Rimmer so much that it feeds off him also..

RiPPER/RELEASE NOTES

These were ripped from the DVD set currently available
in Japan. Some differences from the UK releases (and
presumably, the US releases): instead of the extended
opening sequence, these use the originally aired short
and upbeat opening sequence. Also, the cast credits at
the start and end have been translated to Japanese, as
has the episode title (though the episode title is also
shown in English). Given these differences, we chose to
rip the UK release of season 2 since that's out already
However, since the UK or US release dates for season 3
are rumoured to be in the fall of 2003 or later, we
made the extra effort to obtain this release and rip it
for all you smegheads who can't get enough of Red Dwarf
Enjoy!

Due to a rather inadequate PAL to NTSC transfer (we
presume) there is some ghosting in the source. (and yes
this is filmed on video so the framerate is correct.)
