As a landscape photographer, Murray Fredericks is well accustomed to
spending long periods of time alone in isolated and extreme
locations. But when he relocates his work from the hot dry salt
flats of Lake Eyre in South Australia to the frozen tundra of the
Greenland icecap, he quickly learns that, despite being 'devoid of
features', the two places are a world apart.

So when two wandering polar bears, severe katabatic winds and the
complexity of the task he has set himself, require Fredericks to
break with his self-reliant traditions, he finds himself on the
verge of failure for the first time in his career.

Determined to see the project through, he returns to Greenland. With
the support of a skilled guide and two local Inuit dog sled drivers,
he embarks on a 30 day odyssey of almost 700 km in one of the
world's most desolate environments. His journey is not a quest for
adventure or a 'call to the wild', it's an investigation of 'space'.
Immersed in an environment of endless horizons, he is seeking visual
representations that move beyond the usual 'calendar images'.

When the unusually warm weather necessitates a return to the coast,
the rapidly melting icecap and the dangers it presents, provide for
a tense, action-packed descent to safety.

Utilising stunning cutting-edge, time-lapse cinematography, the
movement of the ice through geological time is depicted alongside
Frederick's own personal voyage. As the Aurora Borealis dances
overhead with the sounds of collapsing ice, these naturally 'living'
systems are clearly neither static, nor permanent.

Nothing On Earth will have its World Premiere at the 2013 Sydney
Film Festival on Sunday 9 June.

W4F is one of the oldest TV Scene groups and releases a diverse mix
of quality TV programming including sports, documentaries, scripted,
reality, talk shows and other quality content that may be overlooked
by other groups. We release purely for fun and to share programming
we like with the world.

W4F is a global group interested in releasing quality programming
from around the world. If you are passionate about your country's TV
content, feel it is unrepresented and want to share it with the world
please feel free to contact us. We are interested in all television
markets with a focus on English content from the USA, Canada,
Australia and Europe. Potential recruits will preferably have the
ability to receive digital TV broadcasts and some knowledge of
digital capturing.

From time to time we are also interested in hearing from site
owners who are interested in affiliating W4F. We are looking for
private links with archives.

W4F has nothing to do with torrents/p2p so don't ask about that!
