DOCUMENTARY: Faith in The Frame
Melvyn Bragg chairs a discussion on the religious themes and
relevance of ten of the world's most fascinating religious
pictures. In this edition, the painting is The Resurrection by
Stanley Spencer, a highly individual vision of Heaven on Earth
painted between 1924 and 1927. It is set in Spencer's local
churchyard at Cookham where he played as a youngster.
