| It's a little-known fact that X-Files are indeed hybrid FILM/NTSC,
| like everyone's favorite other shows (TNG, DS9, B5). The good news is |
| it's very minor in X-Files and easily corrected for, while still
| preserving our 24fps that we all love.
| 342 MB may seem like an odd size, but as burning to DVD-R becomes
| more and more common, it seems annoying and rude to ignore the fact
| that 13 x 350 is simply too big to fit on a single disc. 13 x 342 mb
| =~ 4.34 GB, which should fit on a single disc with no need to trim or |
| split episodes. Losing 8 mb per episode is not ideal, but it can be
| compensated for by skilled encoders. (LTi does not promise 13
| episodes will actually fit on all DVD-R discs, your milage may vary,
| but the numbers say it should work.)
| If you use FFDShow to decode, you MUST activate XviD IDCT in the
| miscellaneous tab of the configuration dialog. This is per the
| changelog for the XviD release used. Alternatively, use the XviD DSF
| and you won't have to worry about it.
