Description...

In this two-part series, Billy Connolly undertakes a personal
journey to evaluate and explore the ways in which we deal with
the end of our lives - across all religious, cultural and social
boundaries. With his trademark charisma and curiosity, he
discovers what death means to different communities and the
diverse ways in which it is marked. Billy looks at some of the
people for whom death is big business as well as opening up about
his own father's passing and how he himself would like to be
remembered. In this first episode, Billy embarks on a poignant
but entertaining trip by visiting a convention for funeral
directors in Austin, Texas, to check out the best deals for
the dearly departed. He also gets the lowdown on a drive-through
funeral parlour in Los Angeles and experiences a voodoo ceremony
in New Orleans. The Big Yin also talks to his old pal Eric Idle
about how Monty Python's Always Look on the Bright Side of Life
has become a huge hit at funerals.
