Summary
Release Notes
LOL left out the outtakes at the end of the show. We don't
feel this warrants a proper, unlike they did with one of our
releases a few weeks ago.
We're more concerned that several of LOL's recent Fox caps
look suspiciously like some sort of PDTV source. A lot of
people noticed the blurriness on this week's Arrested
Development and O.C., and it's here again in this cap, to a
lesser extent.
But maybe LOL is just using a fast resizer or cutting
corners. Still, what about the strange logos? First we get
a mysteriously (and badly) blurred out logo exactly where
the "Fox" SD logo goes. Now we've got a completely opaque
logo (which we've never seen in a Fox HD broadcast) in the
SD position (which we've never seen in a Fox HD broacast)
that's the exact size of the SD logo. Don't believe us?
Check the included sample screenshots from
Quintuplets.S01E01.WS.PDTV.XviD-LOL, which shows the normal
non-HD white "Fox" logo in the SD area. Compare this to the
Mac screenshot, which shows the opaque "Fox 5" logo in the
same place. Compare this to our HD, or any of the older HD
Fox releases from LOL (or from any other group, for that
matter).
Incidentally, we can find only four Fox 5 stations: WNYW-DT
New York, WAGA-DT Atlanta, WTTG-DT Washington, DC and
KVVU-DT Las Vegas. Three of those stations have red logos.
The other one, WTTG, has a logo down in the bottom right
corner on their HD broadcasts. We can't find a Fox 5
station with a logo that looks anything like the one in this
LOL cap.
Strange, no? But it's not 100% proof, so enjoy our
internal.
