Summary
Ray Ellison, a family-less man living in Memphis and dying
of a tumor, is hit by a car and finds himself in Memphis in
1968. A nurse, Adelaide, takes him in and he helps both her
and her son Lucas but faces the prejudice of a black man in
the South in '68. He also realizes he has arrived the day
before Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination and believes
he was sent back for a second chance. In a split second he
chooses Lucas over King, and then wakes up from a coma to
find out his tumor has been operated on by an adult Lucas,
who grew up based on Ray's influences.
