Josef Goebbels. Goebbels clearly recognized the relationship between
mass entertainment and political propaganda. This program traces the
rise of National Socialism and the concurrent unfolding of Goebbels
career. Period footage and interviews with eyewitnesses describe how
Hitler s Minister of Propaganda created the Führer myth, organized
mass spectacles, and established a film studio to produce
entertainment that furthered the Nazi cause. This remarkable and
frightening picture of twisted brilliance is a chilling reminder of
