Directed by Stephen Low
Anne Bancroft .... Narrator (voice)
He wrote of Tom Sawyer's adventures. And of Huck Finn's. And then
there was the adventure Mark Twain and millions of he fellow citizens
lived - the adventure of life in a country bursting its britches with
innovation and drive. So all aboard, everyone. Step onto the deck of
a charming Mississippi riverboat. Or ride the throbbing, hissing
locomotive of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad. Witness some of the
era's new-fangled inventions for the home. Or venture into the
swirling combat of the Civil War. They're all part of Mark Twain's
America, a journey of time and place filled with archival photos and
vivid live action footage and told in part via the colorful author's
own words and narrated by famed actress and Twain enthusiast Anne
Bancroft.
