Description:
Following the American siege of Baghdad in 2003, the
British military made its move on Basra, sending troops
across the desert from Kuwait to engage the 50 Iraqi
tanks thought to be stationed in the city's suburbs. In this
documentary, Lt Cdr James Newton of the 847 Naval Air
Squadron recalls how he piloted a Westland Lynx
chopper at the forefront of Britain's assault, and was
forced into a tense showdown with an unseen enemy
tank in an effort to protect the infantrymen who would
