EPiSODE SUMMARY

We join the show for its first episode at the start of
the war between the Systems Commonwealth and the
Nietzschean fleets. Captain Dylan Hunt and his ship the
Andromeda Ascendant try to flee the first attack to
warn the Commonwealth of the Nietzschean attack. In his
attempt to escape, the Andromeda and Captain Hunt are
caught in the event horizon of a black hole and frozen
in time for 300 years.

RiPPER/RELEASE NOTES

There has never been before scene releases of this
season of Andromeda in the WS version. Notice we say
"scene releases". There are some rips made by SDG as
you can find on dupechecks and they arent old, but lets
copy here a part of their nfo:

Much of this release violates current TDX rules, but
who honestly
cares about that outdated document anyway? Important
notes are starred
above and explained here. Because of that, the release
is labeled
INTERNAL, although there is no standard widescreen
release for S1.

* The size is calculated so 11 episodes will fit on a
DVDR. Let's face
it, most people have DVD burners these days, and 350 is
just a dumb
size. Whereas Voyager has 26 episodes per season,
Andromeda has only
22, so using 3 DVDRs per season would have been
completely excessive.
(Especially in light of there being no good extras for
this show.)

** The DVD is anamorphic, and so is this release. The
AR flag is set
on the MKV file. The following players are known to
honor this flag
and resize correctly:
ZoomPlayer, mplayer (Windows and Linux), Media Player
Classic
Windows Media Player 6.4 [ONLY IN FULLSCREEN MODE], WMP
9 [Any mode]

AAC is the MPEG-4 audio codec. The CoreAAC audio
filter is a good
choice for decoding and included in a codec pack
accompanying 1x01.

Matroska is an alternative container, replacing
the obsolete AVI.
Its advantages are too numerous to list here, but you
will need to
install a matroska splitter to watch these releases.
There is one
included with the codec pack accompanying 1x01.
